'Bates Motel' Season 4 Spoilers: New Trailer Hints Darker Norman; Is Norma Willing To Risk Everything?

By

As "Bates Motel" Season 4 is airing soon, a teaser trailer has been released hinting the possible death of a major character in the show's upcoming episodes. It also revealed Norman getting a little bit closer into his darker and more psychotic self.

The Global Dispatch reported that the less than 30-second teaser video saw Norma and Norman seemingly leading to a much darker path. The teaser trailer also incorporated the iconic shot of "Psycho" as a direct homage. Both characters are seen screaming while a gunshot plays in the background. Towards the end of the video, blood is seen being drained from the bath tub before the words "WE ALL GO A LITTLE MAD SOMETIMES" appear.

Norma's pearls were also seen going down the train suggesting she might die in the upcoming episodes of the show, as per the speculations of the fans.

Accordingly, "Bates Motel" Season 4 will be showing Norma, played by Vera Farmiga, being very afraid of what could happen to her son so she would be willing to risk everything to get the best professional help for him.

TV Muse also reported that Farmiga said in a recent statement that the upcoming season will have her character all the more be attentive of Norman's condition. She shared, "I think you're going to see her playing her cards really close to her chest in the beginning of the season but she's got to reach out. I think she's at a point where she's as protective of him as ever and determined to help him as best as she can, but she doesn't always know how. And I think she's going to start reaching out to others."

In a report by Breathe Cast, fans are quite excited about "Bates Motel" as this might be the second to the last season since co-creator Carlton Cuse noted that there will only be five seasons of the show. He said in a statement, "Yes, [it will be] five seasons. Kerry and I have a pretty clear roadmap. We have a pretty clear plan of where we want to go and we want to bring this story to its inevitable conclusion. I think Bates is not its best version if it's an open-ended series."

To know more of Norman's transformation and Norma's fate, don't miss the first episode of "Bates Motel" Season 4 on March 7 on A&E.
