Moto X Force Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update of Mobile Carriers Confirmed Coming Close

Motorola is well on its way to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade for mobile carriers, as unlocked and retail versions of the Moto X Force have just finished the upgrade. The company's executive has already revealed that indeed official Marshmallow nears over the air (OTA) release to Moto X Force.

Moto X Force is one of the most fortunate smartphones of Motorola to pioneer the OTA roll out of Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. This news came after David Schuster, Motorola's senior director for software product management, revealed on his Google + account that the official had begun in India since December. The executive stated that they are now coordinating with partner mobile carriers in the United States like Verizon Wireless, Sprint and US Cellular to support the release of Marshmallow to Moto X Force models there.

In India, all Moto X Force units have already receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update via OTA release and are bound for the first software version of the build.

Aside from Google Nexus devices, Android One and new phones fresh from the shelf, Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been seen to HTC One M8, LG G4, G Stylo and more

Schuster underscored in his post that he shared publicly, that the official OTA release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to other Motorola devices will come very soon. This prompted reports that Schuster's "soon" statement might mean anytime this month or in February.

Among the devices of Motorola that have not been updated to Marshmallow yet include Moto X Pure Edition (2014), Moto G (2014), Moto G (2015) Turbo Edition, Moto Turbo (2014), Moto Maxx (2014), Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Turbo. Devices already updated include Moto X Pure Edition (2015), Moto X Play (2015), Moto X Style (2015), Moto X Force and Moto G (2015).

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come with new features and improvements like the power saving feature called Doze, smarter app permissions, better app links, new app drawer and a lot more.
