'Transformers 5' Updates: Michael Bay will return as director; Fans expects better Transformers

By

Fans now have an answer after how many weeks of waiting and speculation on who's going to direct "Transformers 5." Michael Bay has now confirmed that he will return directing the Transformers franchise.

Few months ago, Michael Bay expressed his reluctance to return to the Transformers franchise. He wanted to direct movies that are not in the realm of sci-fi. However in an interview with the Rolling Stone, Michael Bay confirmed that he will be returning to direct Transformers 5. It was reported that part of the reason why he has returned to direct the upcoming movie is because he still enjoy doing it. The director also indicated that this will be the last movie he will direct for the Transformers series.

There have been no clear details yet about the upcoming Transformers. But according to Variety, Lorenzo di Bonaventura will be producing Transformers 5 and Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role.

Screen Rant reported that Michael Bay first announced that he's going to quit directing Transformers after Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Michael Bay finds Dark of the Moon 'messy'. He then changed his mind about quitting and returned to direct Transformers: Age of Extinction. The movie was still inferior compared to the first Transformer, and so Michael Bay again declared that he was done making Transformers movie.

Some fans were glad to hear the news of Michael Bay's return - while some were not. Some are hoping that the Transformers 5 will feature more emotions and a solid storyline. Regardless of who's going to direct it, every fan deserves a better Transformers film. The first Transformers was electric, explosive, and comprehensible. However, as the franchise adds more installments, the film quality in terms of plot and script declined.

The Transformers films are planned to hit the big screen until 2025. With or without Michael Bay, fans desire will not change, and that is to see Transformers 5 'roll' with heart and brain.
