Attack on Titan Chapter 77 Predictions: Bertholdt, Reiner to turn against Beast Titan; Reiner to die?

Bertholdt Hoover is the focal point of Attack on Titans Chapter 77 entitled The World They Saw of the manga version released last week. Armored Titan shifters Bertholdt and Reiner to turn against Beast Titan. Manga also teased on Reiner going to end up dead. Survey Corps new weapon Thunderspears to be featured in the current chapter.

According to ReadMS, Chapter 77 of Attack on Titan opened with a titan heading towards the village. Marco Bott overheard Reiner Braun and Bertolt Hoover discussing the secrets of titans. Upon the discovery, Marco plans on telling others but Reiner stopped him and asked Annie to remove Marco's 3D gear. Marco begged Annie to help him but Reiner asked Annie to show loyalty to them.

Marco was overwhelmed with what just happened and was not aware that a titan was approaching him. Still shocked, Marco cried and was not able to move and the titan picked him up from the roof and mercilessly eat him while Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie watch from a distance.

Realty Today also revealed that Bertholdt is the center of Chapter 77 as he attempts to kill the Beast Titan given if Reiner, his close friend, dies. The Beast Titan aims to control control other titans and has defeated armored titan shifters Reiner and Bertholdt. The beatings scared the duo that they decided to rather obey the Beast Titan on his plans.

However, Movie News Guide published that Attack on Titan Chapter 77 sees on Reiner braving up against the Beast Titan when he observed he is being use as a bait for the attack. Although he was almost killed during the mission as the Survey Corps newest Thunderspears almost hit his head, he would still fight the Beast Titan.

Spoilers for next chapter envisioned several flashbacks from Reiner's past, if Reiner dies. Other sources predicted Bertholdt taking revenge if Reiner will be defeated by the Beast Titan.
