A popular and much loved former Atlantic Falcons running back player, Jamal Anderson, was recently sentenced to 12 months on probation after pleading guilty to yet another DUI charge.

The 43-year-old who has previously been in trouble for the same offences was said not to be drunk at the time of his arrest, however, he was jet- lagged and had fallen asleep behind the wheel.

According to a report from ajc, Jamal Anderson won't face prison, although, he will be on a 12 month probation where he won't be able to drive after being ordered to surrender his driver's license. The former athlete will also have to avoid alcohol and complete 40 hours of community service. It was around 5:40pm when the GSP trooper responded to the calls and found Jamal in the middle of the interstate.

The trooper later on stated, "I asked Anderson why he had stopped in the middle of the interstate, noting that it was extremely dangerous and asked him if he was trying to hurt himself," before adding, "He stated that he wasn't trying to hurt himself and he didn't really have a good explanation as to why he had parked in the middle of the interstate."
