After years of non-stop fighting and arguing, Amber Portwood and ex Gary Shirley have come to an agreement to share custody of their 7-year-old daughter Leah. The sudden change of heart comes after the two adults were able to have a heart to heart talk alone and without cameras that ended with the positive outcome.

According to a report from Christian Today, 'Teen Mom OG' star Amber Portwood and ex Gary Shirley have finally put their differences aside and have come up with a positive agreement that has left everyone happy. Gary, who had full custody over his daughter with the 'Teen Mom' star, has agreed to share custody with Amber after years of constant fighting. The 25-year-old opened up to a tabloid to express her happiness stating that she's been waiting for this moment for years.

"I'm very happy that Gary and I are going to share joint custody of Leah," Amber quoted before adding, "We talked for 30 minutes and I said, 'This is not healthy for any of us, this is not healthy for Leah, let's just be adults and do this."

Another report from She Knows added how Leah was able to spend the Christmas holidays with her mom. Amber took to instagram to post various pictures of herself alongside her daughterwho seemed very happy and in love with her mom despite previous scenes and clips from 'Teen Mom' showing the problems the mother and daughter had been through.

In other news, the International Business Times claims that though the 25-year-olds ex may have given her joint custody over their daughter, it still hasn't legally been processed. The two exes will be meeting in court this coming January 15 to finally and hopefully finalise their daughter's custody legally.

As for now, Amber Portwood is busy with the upcoming premiere of 'Teen Mom OG' which will star herself and her other teen mom mates, Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Farrah Abraham. The mother of one is also enjoying her engagement to her older fiancée as they plan to get married this year.
