‘The Incredibles 2’ Update: Storyline will center on family; Timeline of the story uncovered

The 2004 animated superhero film, The Incredibles, has received a nod for its sequel as confirmed by director Brad Bird and it seemed that the Jack-Jack will have a key role in it. Moreover, Samuel L. Jackson, playing Frozone, has indicated some significant details specially the timeline in the anticipated film.

After years of requesting a sequel to the successful film that focuses on the superhero family, fans are now getting what they want from the studio and they have new thoughts regarding its storyline. According to Christian Post, the anticipated film won't center on the superhero abilities of the main characters but rather on their relationships. The director thought that superhero films are now cliché and he'll put substantiality to the Parr family. Moreover, there are reports Jack-Jack will become more powerful in his abilities as he grows older and therefore, speculated by others as the film's antagonist.

Also, since the original film has debuted on the widescreen by 11 years, rumours about the film's timeline have emerged. In an article by Cross Map, Samuel L. Jackson shared that he's excited to see more of Jack-Jack as he is believed to be 11 years older after the first film. Moreover, he indicated that his character Frozone will be back as Bird is saying to him. He thinks that Frozone will always be a great add to the incredible family.

Though the report believes that Jack-Jack is going to get older by more than a decade, there is another source that supports another claim. According to Movie News Guide, although there would be 15 year gap to the first and second film, the upcoming sequel will only jump up to six years only. However, there is no confirmation regarding the claims since it is still a rumour and the director hasn't talk about the film that much. Nevertheless, the timeline would be enough for fans to see the family mature.

The Incredibles 2 is the sequel to the computer animated family film of 2004. The story focuses on the family of superheroes as they utilize their abilities to defeat evil. The film's sequel will get a different touch from other superhero films and will attend issues on relationships. Lastly, rumours show that timeline won't follow the 15-year delay between the films but rather a 6-year age increase. The Incredibles 2 will hit theatres on June 21, 2019.
