Fans of the widely acclaimed game Assassin's Creed will now have to wait only a year for the release of the movie adaptation that stars Michael Fassbender. Everyone is also waiting for the release of its trailer, as Assassin's Creed first banner was posted on the internet.

20th Century Fox revealed the first banner of the Assassin's Creed on its website. Meanwhile, the viral marketing for the film has also started with the launch of the Abstergo Website.

It was also reported that an image of a business card for Alan Rikkin was posted on the Assassin's Creed Twitter account. It was titled as '12.21.16'. The photo has digits and may probably contain hints hidden in it. Alan Rikkin is famously known as the CEO of Abstergo Industries, a fictional entity from Assassin's Creed.

Meanwhile, Azaïzia Aymar, Assassin's Creed content director, also tweeted the same day, suggesting that fans should use their 'eagle vision'. This means that there are absolutely some clues, answers, or even spoilers included in the campaign material released.

A voice prompt says something if one is to dial the number on the card, saying, "Hello, you've reached the voicemail of Alan Rikkin. I'll be out of the office on business until March 25 with limited availability." Many fans believe that the date that was mentioned may lead to clues as to when will the first teaser or trailer be released.

Assassin's Creed movie follows a character by the name of Callum Lynch who is able to unlock his genetic memories and is able to experience the adventures of Aguilar in 15th Century Spain. Aguilar is Callum's ancestor, and the latter discovered that he is a descendant of a mysterious secret society that amasses incredible skills and knowledge to fight against the all-together powerful and oppressive Templar organization in the present day.

Marion Cotillard (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) will join Michael Fassbender on Assassin's Creed cast. Also, Michael K. Williams ("The Wire," Paul Feig's upcoming Ghostbusters), Ariane Labed (Before Midnight), Brendan Gleeson (Edge of Tomorrow), and Jeremy Irons ("The Borgias") will also be included in the cast. Meanwhile, Justin Kurrzel (Macbeth) is directing the film. Assassin's Creed is slated for release on Dec. 21, 2016.

Have you tried dialing the number found on the business card? The casts says that Assassin's Creed will be special, but will it actually be any good? Tell us what you think by posting your comments below.
