US Presidential candidate Donald Trump's 'ban on Muslims' is legally possible even after earning distinct remarks from the people

By

A few weeks ago, the Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump condemned the San Bernardino massacre following his call for barring Muslims in the United States of America. However, the heed divided his supporters into two leading them to question the constitutionality of the legislation.

According to Donald Trump, his call for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States" is needed "until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on." It was first reported that he called for this after the massacre in San Bernardino, California involving two Muslim extremists who entered the US with a K-1 fiancée visa with whom one was a Pakistani citizen.

While his supporters have had different ideas about this, it has received some good side comments raising it as an interesting subject. The Voice of America reported that there are still people who supported his constitutional point of view. Stephen Yale-Loehr, a professor in immigration law at Cornell University's law school, said "the court has never been faced with a challenge against a whole religion. I think that would raise interesting and novel questions for the court."

Several people take it similar with racism and discrimination saying it could be impossible for the court to take a stand about it. However, the Los Angeles Times noted that the constitution is separated with the religion. This means that the banning on Muslims or any other nationality and religion could be possible in the United States, in likeness to what Trump has stated.

Regardless of what the people think on Trump's legal action on the Muslims, it is in the constitution that the President has the authority to implement the law to enact the restrictions. According to the FrontPage Mag, it is stated in the federal law under Title 8 of the United States Code, 8 USC §1182(f) that the President can proclaim and suspend any entry from all aliens, immigrants or non-immigrants into the country if he finds it necessary especially if it's a threat to the American citizens.

On the other hand, his Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton commented that this could be a chance for his elimination in serving as the next President of the United States of America. Clinton marked his comments as "shameful", "wrong" and "dangerous". Tell us what your stand in the comments below!
