By

On Friday a reliable source according to YouKnowMobile.com says that Apple is likely to announce the arrival of its much talked about smartphone - iPhone 5 on August 7

International Business Times announced that "tech news site claims to have exclusively learned the official release date."

The past few weeks have been inundated with rumors that Apple is moving the release date of the iPhone 5 to August instead of November in light of the highly successful sales of Samsung's Galaxy S3. The two have been engaged in a heated tussle over patent issues involving Samsung's Galaxy Tablet that Apple claims infringed on its patent designs.

It is to be noted that Apple has not yet released any statement about the iPhone 5. The behavior is typical for the tech giant, which often refrains from commenting on speculations about any of its products. In the end the company is noted for doing things on its own terms.

Recently, Apple announced that the third edition tablet or as Apple calls it the "new iPad" will be released in China on July 20th ranging from the same price as is in the U.S. market ($499-$829). The tablet will be sold in black and white. Reservations for the awaited tablet will begin on July 19th Thursday and can be done through the internet or special authorized retailers. On Monday, Apple paid Chinese company Proview $60 million in a trademark dispute.

On Thursday, rumors that Chinese e-commerce websites was accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 5.
