The heat is on between singers and former friends Katy Perry and Taylor Swift as the two are allegedly in a feud cause by an issue with Swift's backup dancers.

According to Fashion & Style, Swift revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone that her song, "Bad Blood," is about her beef with a fellow artist.

"It had to do with business," she told the magazine. "She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."

Reports suggest that the artist in question is singer "Roar" singer Katy Perry. She posted on her Twitter account an alleged response to the comments made by Taylor, tweeting about a Regina George in a sheep's clothing.

A report by TMZ said that the dispute started when three of Swift's backup dancers reportedly jumped ship and joined Perry's tour instead of Swift's. The "Red" singer allegedly felt "betrayed" as she claimed that she was close to them and treated them as family.

However, the site reported that the dancers actually work with Perry first before signing up with Swift's tour. When Katy's tour ended, they signed with Taylor but with a 30-day clause as they were just waiting for Katy to hit the stage again.

But when they gave their 30-day notice, Taylor got pissed off and fired them on the spot.

Meanwhile, in an interview with The Examiner, one of the dancers spoke about the alleged tension between the female singers.

Lanceston-born Lockhart Brownlie told the site their side of the story. According to him, Katy is more approachable than Taylor.

"Taylor is very untouchable. 'When we did see her, we had so much fun with her, but she's a lot more protected than Katy. Katy's 28 now and can do her own thing," the male dancer said.

He continued, "Her team is so lovely, so we have such a good connection. And this time around she is a lot more in control.''

As of this writing, the two singers have not made official statements yet on the matter.
