With Paramount Pictures allegedly revealing the plans for the 2016 release of "Transformers 5," fans of this live action, giant-robot themed series could not help but rejoice in excitement.

The alleged year of release of the Transformer's fifth franchise will also mark the 30^th anniversary of the first release of the film's animated series, "The Transformers: The Movie," which eventually paved the way for the succeeding installments.

However, Transformers Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura directly dismisses the speculations about the 2016 premier of "Transformers 5," saying it is "not accurate" and that releasing a sequel of the movie in a span of one year would be "too soon."

"It's an exhausting process to make these movies. The scale of them is so enormous," said di Bonaventura in an interview with Screen Rant. "Our tendency is to finish one at a time, recover, and then begin talking."

In another interview, the big time producer added that they do not have a specific date of release yet. He said that talking about 2016 is "a little rushed" for him. Thus, they would not be able to make the landmark date of the movie series.

When asked about the rumors regarding Transformers Director Michael Bay possibly handing off the movie to another director, di Bonaventura said that they have yet to discuss about their plans on how to hand it off. He said that they would like to focus on how to keep Bay going.

"We want to keep Michael on this, so we're not spending any time worrying about who would come in. We're trying to figure out how to keep him going and keep him excited," di Bonaventura stated.
