A lawyer was killed in a series of shootings on Thursday in Wisconsin, among three others. The shootings sparked from a domestic incident, where the suspect's wife works.

The suspect is identified as Nengmy Vang, according to the Wausau Daily Herald. His divorce is pending, and his wife works at a bank in Rothschild, Wisconsin, where the shootings began.

Vang apparently had a domestic incident with his wife on Wednesday and they were going through a harsh divorce, investigators said. Vang's wife ran into a nearby Subway when the shootings began and is unharmed. Vang, on the other side, was shot during a standoff with police and is hospitalized.

Lawyer Sara Quirt Sann was killed along with Everest Metro Police Detective Jason Weiland and bank employees Dianne Look and Karen Barclay in the shootings. The 43-year-old lawyer was representing Vang's wife.

Sann started working as a lawyer in 2011 and graduated from the Valparaiso University law school in 1999, according to TMJ4. She rented an office from the law firm Tlusty, Kennedy & Dirks in Schofield, Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, Sann's husband, Scott, posted a Facebook message requesting the public to remove any anger driven posts related to the shootings and instead, post something they loved about Sann. He wrote saying, "This person could've been any gender, any color, any religion and they could've acted in other ways of violence to make their point."

The State Bar of Wisconsin and Marathon County Bar Association also issued a statement about the deaths following the shootings. "Our Marathon County legal community is shaken to its core by this senseless act of violence that killed our dear friend and colleague. Sara was a smart, compassionate attorney who exuded a quiet confidence and strove to understand the real struggles families face," the statement said.
