The losing streak is over. The Cleveland Cavaliers drew first blood as it sends the wolves packing back to Minnesota in a 125 -97 convincing victory. Lebron James dumped 27 points into the game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers made the most scoring game with 125 points since December 7, 2016. James also pitched in 12 assists and Kylie Irving managed to hand over a career high of 14 assists with 14 points in the game.

Additional scores came from Tristan Thompson with 18 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Channing Frye, replacing injured Kevin Love in the starting five, contributed 18 points, and Kyle Korver hit 20 pts coming off the bench. Despite the absence of Kevin Love, Frye managed to fill up the points deficit left by Love, as recapped and reported by Cleveland.com

The Cleveland Cavaliers need to improve the way the games are played in the January slump. The Cavs are trying out some free agents to augment its present strength. They need a seasoned playmaker to lift them up further to a repeat Championship. The free agents are Mario Chalmers, who is recovering from an Achilles tendon tear, Kirk Hinrich, Lance Stephenson, and Jordan Farmar.

When Yahoo Sports News interviewed James if he was ok to team up with Lance Stephenson, He replied by telling them that he just want to win. If Stephenson could help the Cavs win a repeat Championship, its fine with him. James and Stephenson had a spat in one of their Heat- Pacers game last 2014. It happened when James started trash talking to Stephenson that turned ugly. But James could do away with it as long as the free-lance aspirant can deliver the goods needed of him, in a report by ESPN

The Cleveland Cavaliers is now 35 - 15, leading the Eastern Conference. Their next game will be on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Madison Square Garden, Manhattan, New York against The New York Knicks.
