"Yoko Ono" is looking at bringing her love story with John Lennon to the big screens. She is in collaboration with producer Michael de Luca in the upcoming film.

According to a report in Variety, the untitled film of Lennon's and Ono's love story is to be written by Anthony McCarten. He also will produce the film with Ono, De Luca and Josh Bratman of Immersive Films.

In 1966 Ono and Lennon met at an art gallery. This was the time that Ono was exhibiting her own artworks. The Beatles during this time is in their fourth year of being a worldwide phenomenon. The couple got married in 1969 in Gibaltar. Since then the two have collaborated with their being artists. The Beatles then broke up in 1970 with each member going to each of their solo paths.

Rolling Stone reports that the film is to look into the complex relationship of Lennon and Ono. It is to document the anti-war causes of the couple. De Luca shares that the film is to focus on relevant topics of love and hopes to inspire the youth of today.

Ono and Lennon had been married for 11 years and have always been working on something for the cause of peace. Lennon had stated in a report that throughout his relationship with Ono he felt that they had the responsibility to produce peace.

Meanwhile, McCarten who is to write the script for the upcoming film has also worked on other films. The Theory of Everything is one of his works and led him to have a close relationship with Stephen Hawking. He also is working on the new film on Winston Churchill that stars Gary Oldman according to a report in Xpose.

The film is still on the works and it will eventually lead fans to the intimate relationship of Ono and Lennon.
