"Switched at Birth" show is introducing new characters into season 5 which is also known as the series' final season on Freeform. Listed among the new cast members are Valery Ortiz as Noelle, Tristin Mays as Ally, and Michael Galante as Luca.

Another exciting addition to the show's characters is Luca, who is expected to spice up the storylines with a bit of romance. Luca will be attracted to neither Bay nor Daphne (Katie Leclerc), but rather, will go after Regina (Constance Marie) who is much older than him.

Not only that, Regina is also seen kissing Luca in one of the released promo clips. Thrilled fans have yet to figure out if Regina would give a shot to having a potential relationship with Lucas.

Meanwhile, Mays will make her appearance on episode 6. Although not much is known about her character and how it will be developed alongside Bay and Daphne, she is said to share a special connection with Regina. Ecumenical News suggests that her relationship with Regina might come from an even deeper origin as she seems to have a connection with the Kennish and Vasquez family.

Another exciting development will be introduced in Bay's life as she chooses Travis (Ryan Lane) over Emmett (Sean Berdy). Executive producer of the series, Lizzy Weiss, told TV Line, explaining that Bay and Emmett will be toned down for now despite having been through many ups and downs. "They might end up together in the long run, but for now that's put to bed a little bit," Weiss revealed.

She added that the production team were excited about a fresh relationship between Travis and Bay,  Season 5 of "Switched at Birth" returns on Freeform with a new episode on Tuesday, Feb 7, at 9pm.
