"Resident Evil 7" makes a successful first-person camera and Virtual Reality debut as it earns the number one spot in the UK sales chart.

The switch from third person to first-person camera was certainly a questionable move for the game's developers. However, one can't really argue the fact that "Resident Evil 7" turned out to be a huge success.

Capcom's creative efforts paid off as "Resident Evil 7" took over "Grand Theft Auto V" for the top spot. Other notable games on the list include "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter" and "FIFA 17", according to GameSpot.

The other first-person game on the list is "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." However, the latest COD game wasn't able to topple "Resident Evil 7" as it sits on the number 5 spot.

"Resident Evil 7" is mostly gaining positive reception from both players and critics alike. On top of that, its sales rating is a clear indication of how successful this entry is already doing so far.

As a matter of fact, "Resident Evil 7" is the third best selling game in the franchise when it comes to first-week sales. The number two best-selling game is presumed to be "Resident Evil 6", according to Eurogamer.

As for the number one best-selling game in the franchise, "Resident Evil 5" stills tops the rest of the games in the series. Regardless, "Resident Evil 7" proved that this old franchise still has a few tricks up its sleeve.

Some players are complaining about motion sickness side-effects while using VR-headsets. This alone would lead gamers to believe that "Resident Evil 7" wouldn't be such a good VR experience.

However, the percentage of VR players in "Resident Evil 7" say otherwise. Statistics indicate that 9.51 percent of total players prefer playing the game on VR, according to VG247.
