Samsung has announced that the company will not reveal its new flagship phone, the Galaxy S8, at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona next month. Instead, the company is expected to launch its flagship phone in March to April.

During a press briefing on Monday,  Jan. 23, Samsung Chief of Mobile Division Koh Dong-Jin said that the company has put extra preventive measures before launching the Galaxy S8 to avoid the incident in the Galaxy Note 7, according to report from Reuters.

"The lessons of this incident are deeply reflected in our culture and process," he said. "Samsung Electronics will be working hard to regain consumer trust."

As a result of the preventive measures, Samsung will not reveal the mobile phone at the Mobile World Congress trade show. Koh has not decided on the exact time the new flagship phone will be launched, but analysts predicted the Korean electronic giant will put Samsung Galaxy S8 on the market by March or April.

There are many expectations regarding the technological breakthrough with the Samsung Galaxy S8. One of them is the new AI digital assistant called Bixby, and the design which eliminate the bezel from the surface of the phone.

Samsung acquired an artificial intelligence company Viv in October last year. Viv was founded by the same people who created Siri, the Apple's digital assistant. They are Dag Kittlaus, Adam Cheyer, and Chris Brigham. Bixby is rumored to make a leapfrog jump in the artificial intelligence with its visual search capability using the camera as the eye.

Recently, the company has unveiled its new AMOLED display in two advertising videos. The videos showed the appearance of a new smartphone, which may possibly the new Galaxy S8.
