Customers of the Japanese My Nintendo store can design their own Nintendo Switch bundles, starting Jan. 23. As seen on the Nintendo Topics blog, My Nintendo members can pick and choose just how many colors they want their Switch to arrive in on launch day, and they'll receive some My Nintendo points for their trouble.

Starting January 23, Japanese My Nintendo store customers can design their own Nintendo Switch bundles. My Nintendo members can pick and choose just how many colors they want their Switch to arrive in on launch day, as described on the Nintendo Topics blog and they will also receive some My Nintendo points for doing so.

The Japanese market, unlike in the West - where there are only just two colors options offered to the customers at launch which is the all gray set and the neon blue-red version, can choose between three colors for both Joy-Con controllers and another four different colors for the straps. For example, instead of a red right controller and blue left one, they can switch them around if they want to. They can also go monochromatic if they like.

Polygon expected Nintendo would offer Western fans the same chance to design their own Switch similar to the Japanese. According to the web, because of the region-free, Western buyers may get their hands on a Japanese My Nintendo account purchase a Switch through the storefront - which enable them to play any game they want on their unique Switch.

Originally known in development as the NX, The Nintendo Switch is the company's seventh major home console which was officially unveiled in October 2016. Shaped like a tablet computer which can be use portably or connected to a television, the new console is a "hybrid" console that allows different modes of play. Nintendo however markets the new console as a home console rather than as a portable.
