Justin Bieber is speaking out, at least briefly, about Selena Gomez going out with The Weeknd. According to sources for TMZ, Bieber says Gomez is only using the ‘Starboy’ singer for promotion since they are apparently collaborating to make new music.

The ‘Hands to Myself’ songstress was recently linked to The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, after being spotted and photographed as they showed signs of PDA last week. Bieber has also claimed that Gomez typically goes out on dates with the artists she prefers to collaborate with and does not mind being romantically linked to them. Aside from The Weeknd, other stars include Nick Jonas and Zedd, among others.

In a previous encounter with the paparazzi, Bieber was hanging out with his pal Patrick Schwarzenegger at Catch On in Los Angeles when he was asked about his reaction about his ex-girlfriend kissing the R&B singer after their romantic date. The Canadian crooner did not say a word and merely walked towards his vehicle, avoiding involvement in the romance drama. Bieber and Gomez dated on and off for a long time before calling it quits in 2015. Still, the fan-favorite pair remained friends after their breakup.

Meanwhile, Gomez’s photos with The Weeknd brought on a certain level of controversy, particularly when The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid unfollowed the former Disney star on Instagram. An insider revealed that the Victoria's Secret model felt that the ‘Kill ‘Em With Kindness’ singer took a wrong turn after showing off her romance with The Weeknd without informing her at all.

"She just doesn't understand why Selena is flaunting her relationship with The Weeknd. The least she can do is be private about it,” the source pointed out. Bella never, ever saw this coming…”

After making her debut at the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Hadid crossed paths with The Weeknd during his performance at the event.

"There is no awkwardness," the 20-year-old model told E! News, referring to their breakup. "He is my best friend, and I am excited because I am walking during his performance."
