At the first rank, Apple has managed to surpass any other smartphone brand and has rivals like Samsung, LG, HTC, etc. The net sales of Apple in 2016 was $216 billion and operating cost of $60 million. Originally iPhones are made in China, but now they are planning to move in India for manufacturing of iPhones.

The current CEO of Apple, Tim Cook visited India in 2016 and during his tour, he met with various Indian delegates and showed concerns regarding an opening of a manufacturing plant for iPhones. Firstly, Apple wanted to sell their reconditioned iPhone in India, but later on it was refused, suggest reports.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Department of Commerce, Industrial policy and Promotion (DIPP) will be involved in the meeting claim reports.

As per reports suggest, Apple's Representatives had a meeting with Indian delegates regarding the opening of a manufacturing plant in India. In collaboration with Taiwan's Wistron, Apple will roll out new iPhones which will be made in India. Right now China's Hon Hai Precision Company LTD, which is also known as Foxconn manufactures iPhones.

The government of India is also welcoming Apple's plan as it will lead to higher  Economy as well as employment generation within the country. Developing business in India will help Apple to gain its sales volume back as last year Apple reported a drop in sales volume.

If Apple wanted to come back in Indian market they should make iPhones reasonable for the local market as it will make new customers and high sales volume.  Apple manufactures its products in six different countries around the globe such as China, Korea, Japan, United States, etc.

Apple will unveil the iPhone 8 in September 2017, in order to celebrate its 10th anniversary and has already received acclaim from Apple fans who are eagerly waiting for the launch.
