The former "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen has been sued by American Express over his credit card Debt. Accordingly, he has an outstanding balance of $287, 879.28.

Hindustan Times reported that Sheen's outstanding balance is from is Platinum American Express card. The actor's deadline for the payment of his balance was said to be in March 12 this year. However, the actor failed to do so and now he also has incurred $8, 357.69 for late fees.

According to Law Newz, Sheen tried to make light of the matter when asked by paparazzi publication TMZ. He said that if he was American Express, he would also be suing himself. The 50-year-old actor did not deny the company's claims against him but also did not say how he plans to move forward with the lawsuit. He also blamed the unpaid bills from his former business manager.

This is the latest of the string of financial woes that Sheen has been experiencing. Last year, he revealed during a "Today Show" appearance that he paid more than $10 million to people as he wanted them to keep his secret that he has contracted HIV.

Sheen has also been seeking to have his $55,000 per month child support to both of his ex-wives be reduced. He said that he is no longer as wealthy as he was before. He pointed out that he pays $105,000 for his bills monthly and also pays $25,000 for his medical costs. He said that the $55,000 monthly child support was an amount they came up with years back when he still had a great job and when he was still living large.

His ex-wives, Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards took the child support matter to court saying that Sheen has not been paying in full regarding the support he has to give to his children, Inquisitr reported. The two women recently claimed that they are not ganging up on Sheen regarding the matter. Sheen has twin boys with Mueller while he has two children with Richards.

Sheen was also sued by his former fiancée for $5 million for exposing her to HIV.
