Jennifer Berman reportedly killed her two teenage children, then shot herself, in their upscale West Palm Beach house, CBS12 reported. Authorities discovered their bodies on Monday morning "on Pershing Way in West Palm Beach's exclusive El Cid historic neighborhood," CBS12 also reported. Police said Berman killed her 16-year-old son son Alex and 15-year daughter Jacquelin, who were reportedly students at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach.

Jennfer Berman had many stressful-related incidents in recent months, leading up to the double murder and suicide, according to authorities.

Berman recently divorced her husband Richard, "In December. [while] her mother died this past fall, and her home, which had belonged to her parents, is in foreclosure," as reported by CBS12.

"Police said that Richard Berman received emails from the suspect that she might hurt herself and her children. Richard hopped in his car and called 911 on the way to the house where the tragic discovery was made," CBS12 also reported.

"'Going through a divorce, foreclosure, a lot of that stuff which, it's an upsetting thing when you're going through a divorce and having to sell the beautiful house in this neighborhood, and it's just she just seemed like she had been upset lately. You can't fathom, you can't understand what's going on in someone's head for things like that to happen," Brian McManus, a family friend Brian McManus told WSVN, as reported by The Daily Mail.

"The home in which the murder suicide took place had previously belonged to Jennifer Berman's mother. The property had been in foreclosure since 2010 but was recently sold. The mother and her two children were due to move out in February," The Daily Mail reported.

Mrs Berman had been working 12-hour shifts as a night nurse for an elderly man because she needed the money, a friend, who refused to be identified, told the Palm Beach Post.

"They were a very nice family," said neighbor Rod Tinson.

"Entire neighborhood is devastated, we are absolutely heartbroken," added another neighbor Marian Sklodowski, as reported by CBS12. West Palm Beach Police have yet to indicate the exact series of events in the murder-suicide.
