A high school football player in Arizona faces multiple counts of indecent exposure after flashing his genitals in a football team photo. The said photo was published on the school yearbook.

Hunter Osborn, a Red Mountain High School student, is facing 69 counts of indecent exposure, a class one misdemeanor, as well as one felony count of furnishing harmful items to minors, which is a class 4 felony, as many 18 underage students watched the photo taking, Metro reported. Steve Berry, a detective from Arizona, and the Mesa Police Department confirmed the charges.

Berry confirmed the investigation continues and that further charges could follow. A police report indicates that Osborn was dared by his teammates to expose his genitals during the photoshoot. However, after the incident, he expressed his disgust on what he did.

The 19-year-old did it by showing it on the top of the waistband of his football uniform pants. Inside Edition reported that the counts were from the number of people who were present at the photo taking. At that time, there were 69 students, ages from 15 to 19 years old and also 10 faculty members.

However, if the students over 18 years old decide not to pursue the charges, the criminal counts against the teen could be reduced. The teen admitted of doing it and was later released. He was also fitted for an electronic monitor, a requirement stated from the Arizona law following the nature of the charges against him.

The image already made it into the yearbook, which was distributed to 3,400 students and seen by many families, before the school officials became aware of it, Washington Times reported. It was also included in the school's football program, which was sold at games.

Mesa Public Schools released a statement saying, "The district is dismayed by the actions of the students involved in the photograph." His classmates came out in defense of Osborn, saying the charges are severe given the nature of the crime. Osborn is scheduled to appear in court on May 16.
