A man who claimed Disney World ruined his life after an injury during a Christmas season event filed a lawsuit against the theme park. However, the said incident was not related to an accident on one of the rides or attractions of Disney World.

According to TMZ, Michael Amabile came to visit Disney World last December at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. Amabile said he went to see for "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade" when he stumbled over a sidewalk. His lawsuit stated that the sidewalk seemed invisible because the lights around the area were all turned off.

Amabile also claimed Disney World staff members did not warn him concerning the dangerous elevated step.  The filed lawsuit does not provide specific details regarding the incident as well as the injury. However, Amabile seeks a large amount of money for damages from Disney World, according to 100.3 Jack Fm.

This is not the first time that the "The Most Magical Place On Earth" encountered a lawsuit that does not stem on accidents in the park's rides and attractions. Orlando Sentinel cited, most known lawsuits are related to slip and fall accidents. The theme park have recorded 218 cases between 2004 and 2008 involving people who claimed to have been slipped or tripped while visiting Walt Disney World.

While 158 lawsuits were also recorded on accidents that happened in the parks' shops, shows and events, or on streets or sidewalks. A woman in Titusvillewas allegedly injured after a parade of horses charged the crowd while another woman contracted a rare blood disease because of a vulture on a show clawed her. Also, a man in Orlando got injured after a man sent him out of the City Walk bar roughly.

Disney, Universal and Busch Entertainment officials defended their theme parks' safety in general terms; however, they refuse to disclose information regarding personal injury case proceedings
