After Donald Trump criticized the North Carolina and Mississippi bills affecting the LGBT community, his rival, Ted Cruz, slammed the GOP frontrunner's stance on the issue saying even if the real estate mogul dressed up as Hillary Clinton, he should still be not using the girl's restroom.

In a report by Time, the Texas senator expressed his approval of the laws that were passed recently in the aforementioned states. He said his Clinton reference is "real, real simple for the folks in the media who find this conversation very confusing." He then laughed and apologized to the audience for giving them a mental image of "Donald in a bright blue pantsuit."

BuzzFeed News also reported that this is not the first time the current second placer in the race for being GOP's presidential nominee has called out Trump for his belief. Trump said last week that he is okay with Caitlyn Jenner coming to the Trump Tower and using whatever bathroom she is comfortable using.

Cruz said after Trump's NBC interview that he has two daughters and that it is basic common sense that a "Grown adult men, strangers, should not be alone in a bathroom with little girls."

Trump also said last week that there is no need for a third bathroom installation all over the nation for transgender people or for the LGBT community as it will be costly. The GOP frontrunner made it clear that things should just be left the way it is and the North Carolina and Mississippi laws are not okay in his opinion, The Daily Mail reported.

The laws against transgenders have resulted to the economy of the states being hurt. PayPal cancelled their plans to expand in North Carolina and some movies planned to be shot in Mississippi have also backed out. 

Back in October, Cruz was asked about transgender people serving the military and the Texas senator said that they should not view the military as a "cauldron for social experiments" and instead should focus on hunting down and killing the bad guys.
