A $10.1 million settlement was reached between Paul Walker's 17-year old daughter and the estate of Roger Rodas, the man who drove the car. Both Walker and Rodas died in a car crash in 2013.

According to SF Gate, Walker was on a break from filming the latest installment of his movie Fast and the Furious. He and Rodas decided to drive away from the charity event that the actor had been a part of. Investigators of the case found out that the vehicle that Rodas was driving was travelling at 90 mph when it smashed into several trees and concrete light poles on Hercules Street.

As reported by CBS News, Jeff Milam, Meadow Walker's attorney, said the amount that the estate of Roger Rodas paid will be going to the teenagers trust. Milam added that the payment only covers a fraction of what the actor would have earned as an international movie star if only his life was not taken away by the accident.

The death of Walker has put a temporary halt on the production of the Furious 7, the latest installment to the ultra-hit movie series which is about illegal street racing. The film was considered the highest grossing movie of all time which gained $1.5 billion in worldwide sales in 2015 as per Manila Bulletin.

Meanwhile, Meadow Walker had continued her suit against Porsche AG which she holds responsible for producing a vehicle that was defective. The complaint that Meadow filed against the German Automaker intends to make the company responsible for sparing key safety features which could have prevented the crash and saved his father's life.

Porsche, however, has maintained their stand that the actor has the sole responsibility for his own life. Los Angeles officials also said that the cause of Walker's death was due to over speeding and not a defective design on the vehicle. Milam argued that the crash didn't kill Walker. But because of the defective design of Porsche, the victim was burnt to death.
