American female rapper Nicki Minaj and her former wig maker reach to a settlement following the $30 million lawsuit filed against the star rapper. The said lawsuit was filed two years ago, accusing the star of profiting from the wigs the brand made without their permission.

Federal court ruled to dismiss th case of plaintiff Terrence Davidson, wig maker of Jasmine Brand lawsuit against Nicki Minaj. The lawsuit claims the rapper stole his wig designs and sold them without him knowing, XXL reported. However, Nicki argued that Davidson sued her because of his jealousy and bitterness.

According to the judge, since plaintiff has no written contract with the singer, Davidson had no case. He made an appeal and won. The designer won the appeal on the grounds that both he and Minaj had entered into a verbal agreement regarding the sale of his designs. 

The judge said that since Davidson had only agreed to produce and sell wigs to Minaj for personal use, she had no right to distribute. Hot New Hip hop reported, after the appeal, Davidson continued to fight his former employer. However, on April 1st, the wig designer filed a document with the court that clearing Minaj from the accusations. The two parties settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

The designer began working with the Minaj in January 2010 as her hair stylist, according to CNN. Minaj started her career as a guest rapper on mix tapes at Young Money Entertainment with her co-artist at the label. She rose to fame and become known as the "first lady of Young Money," the label which houses talents, rappers Drake and Lil Wayne.

The Super bass-hit singer also became known not only for her music but for her unique and extravagant fashion sense. The 33-year- old rapper said that the wigs she wore are ever changing in height, width, color and size adding that wearing them makes her become a different person and happy.
