Overwatch: Tracer's "Over-sexualized" Victory Pose Removed by Blizzard; Game Compared to Battleborn

As Overwatch is now a blossoming game for Blizzard Entertainment, the title is ready to become the next big thing in first person shooters for 2016. However, the development team may be aligned with some trouble along the way, if the overlooking of details continues further on.

According to Forbes, it was a controversial twist of events when recently, Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch faced a minor speed bump with a character factor slipping away from the developer's sights. Tracer, one of the female characters in the game, was said to be given a somewhat sexualized victory pose; with her backside imposed towards the audience. To make things worse, one fan laid complains to the developers after witnessing it, making it immediately viral online.

It became a big deal all over the web and there are those who supported the claim of the said fan, stating that they do not want to see another abruptly engineered character for the simple logic of a sexually labelled stereotype. As some games may have done so purposively, Blizzard Entertainment apologized for the inadvertent discomfort caused by the Tracer design and opted to change it. Jeff Kaplan was first to correct the situation and addressed the community instantly, as per Bustle.

It was noted by Red Bull that since Overwatch is Blizzard Entertainment's first successful attempt at making a first person shooter, it was inevitably compared to a relative title, Battleborn. Both games are shooters with a rather peculiar roster, though both have their own offerings to date. In definition, only the fans can determine the pros and cons of each title soon enough.

Both games are slated for release on May, with Battleborn scheduled for May 3rd and Overwatch will come later on May 24th. Blizzard Entertainment has been said to take absolute pride in the creation of Overwatch, after a similar idea of a game was scrapped years ago, the enigmatic project called Titan.
