Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F Upgrades to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via CarHDRom: How to Install

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge finally received upgrade support via CarHDRom for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. CarHDRom comes packed with TouchWiz launcher support and advanced tweaks and enhancements.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge units with model number G925F is now supported by CarHDRom for upgrade to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The ROM offers practically similar visuals with the official Marshmallow build. It is also good to know that it is deodexed and zipaligned, making the phone ready for manual updating without having to root it. It also includes a pre-installed superSU.

Before proceeding to the installation of CarHDRom to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, it is necessary to take note of the following reminders and preconditions first:

1.        Make sure that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has model number G925F. Using other variant may cause severe damage to phone. To know the model number of the phone, go to Settings > About device or About phone.

2.        Install TWRP Recovery here.

Here's how to download and install Android 6.0.1 CarHDRom to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F:

1.        Download Android 6.0.1 CarHDRom on PC.

2.         Connect phone to PC using the USB cable.

3.         Copy then paste downloaded ROM to phone's memory or SD card.

4.         Switch off phone and plug it out from the PC.

5.         Go to Recovery Mode by press holding volume up, home and power buttons.

6.         Choose 'Wipe' to delete of data and 'Swipe to Factory Reset'.

7.         Go to main menu and choose 'Install'. Choose the copied ZIP file on the phone.

8.         Choose 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'.

9.         Wait for the installation to complete.

10.     When phone gets into any boot loops or other troubles, tap 'Wipe cache/dalvik' button.

11.     Choose 'Reboot System'.
