HTC Desire 816 Dual SIM phones are finally getting the official update for Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with Sense 7.0 user interface. Sense 7.0 UI has been widely lauded for its impressive tweaks from Sense 6.0, but how would Desire 816 Dual SIM look like with the interface?

HTC has just begun pushing the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its Desire 816 Dual SIM phones. Six months after announced ready for release, Android Marshmallow took some time in the HTC labs to incorporate tweaks of Sense 7.0 with the build.

The global version of the phone, however, is receiving nothing new from Marshmallow and Sense 7.0 as the update will bring only software staples like Doze, app permissions, Now on Tap and latest security update, among many others. Despite that, HTC promised that Desire 816 Dual SIM owners will enjoy the upgrade as much its high-end phone owners did.

Last month, Desire 816 Dual SIM was already tipped to receive this update by this month. The update fortunately came just right in time, before the Lenten season kicks off which is a long stretch of holidays.

For now, update is exclusively released in Saudi Arabia and is expected to roll out in countries like UK, U.S., Canada and in many more countries very soon. 

Desire 816 Dual SIM is a mid-range phone rocking a 5.5-inch screen with a 720p resolution. It was first released in March and October 2014 with preinstalled Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and skipped Android 5.1 Lollipop to proceed to Marshmallow.

Its build is made of plastic material on the front and sides, and a shiny fingerprint magnet rear the panel. It has loud BoomSound speakers on the front panel making the device convertible into a portable video player and gaming device. It runs on a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, a 1.5 GB of RAM, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
