'Arrow' Season 4 Spoilers: Oliver and Felicity posed as bait as Cupid returns

"Supernatural" alum Amy Gumenick has confirmed her return in "Arrow" Season 4 to reprise her role as Cupid and "Chicago PD" actress Madison McLaughlin will be guest starring as an escapee from a perilous cult in an upcoming episode. Also, The CW has released the official plot description of episode 16 'Broken Hearts'.

"Supernatural" alum Amy Gumenick officially signs in to return to "Arrow" Season 4. According to Comic Book Resources, the 29-year-old Swedish-born American veteran actress will reprise her role as Carrie Hartnell Cutter aka Cupid. Carrie Cutter happens to be a former police officer of the Starling City Police Department and a member of the Suicide Squad.

She practiced archery when she became obsessed with The Arrow. Her obsession in archery escalated to killing and threatening people to get The Arrow's attention unfortunately, he turned her down. Cupid was first introduced last season 3 and will reappear in episode 16.

In addition, "Chicago PD" actress Madison McLaughlin has booked an arc in an upcoming episode of the The CW series. No official details about her character has been stated however, speculations suggest that the 20-year-old American actress will play as Rebecca. McLaughlin's character enters the scene in episode 19 as an escapee of a perilous cult, TV Line has cited.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 16, The Futon Critic notes, "A heartbroken Cupid returns to Star City with one goal - to destroy anyone in love. The team learns she's killing couples on their wedding day so Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) decide to pose as bait."

"Arrow" Season 4 Episode 16 is entitled as "Broken Hearts". The forthcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. exclusively on The CW.

"Arrow" is an American TV series developed by writers/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. The storyline is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow.
