The rivalry is close between the new Samsung and Apple flagship phones. The Samsung Galaxy S7 competes with the Apple iPhone 6s in terms of processor performance and camera features.

Samsung galaxy S7 is on a head to head competition with Apple's iPhone 6s. According to Trusted Reviews, the Apple iPhone 6s processor performed better than that of the Samsung S7. Samsung equipped its Galaxy S7 with two processors: an Exynos 8890 for local markets and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip for international markets. On the other hand, the iPhone 6s has A9 GPU (power VRGT7600). Statistics said that the new Samsung Exynos 8890 processor used in EU had scored only 129,865, as opposed to Apple A9's score of 132,657- a difference of 2%.

Meanwhile, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip used by Samsung on its handsets outside Europe, beats both Exynos and A9 chips in both test performances on graphics and processor. It garnered a score of 136, 383 in terms of chipset performance and a score of 55, 098 in graphics. The Exynos 8890 lags behind with a total score of 38,545 while A9's GPU rendered a graphical score of 39,104.

Despite these tests to measure the performance of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Apple iPhone 6s processors, reports say that Samsung's Exynos 8890 equals Apple A9's overall performance. This means the Exynos 8890 chip equals the performance of the Apple A9 processor.

The Samsung S7 may have a chance to beat the Apple iPhone 6s as the more capable phone in high-end photography. Techno Buffalo writes that the Samsung Galaxy S7 has a powerful camera with dual-pixel technology. A video was made by YouTuber SuperSafTV showing the comparison of these cameras as they perform in different tests. Camera features on both phones tested include slow motion, low light, mixed light to outdoor viewing, and others. Both smartphones have 12-mega pixel sensors and nearly identical sharp lenses.

On outdoors, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Apple iPhone 6s perform well in sunlight and have wide apertures to capture the details and sharpness of subjects. However, on mixed light, the Galaxy S7 offers a brighter image than the iPhone 6s. In night photography mode, the Galaxy S7 gives more clarity and brightness while the iPhone 6s produces dimmer and less-detailed images.

In low light, the Galaxy S7 outshines the iPhone 6s. According to Tech Times, this is a special feature of the S7. The Samsung Galaxy S7 has a wider aperture which means that it can get brighter images in low light. On the other hand, the iPhone 6s produces truer colors but overall darker images.

Photos taken with the iPhone 6s also appear warmer than those in the Galaxy S7. Both smartphones have their own camera features that are favorable to capture certain moods and subjects.
