'Captain America: Civil War' is an upcoming action-adventure and fantasy film directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film was revealed to be an "emotional horror story" and may feature the death of main characters. The newest promotional art for the film has also been released.

According to Cinema Blend, the upcoming installment of the 'Captain America' cinematic series was revealed to be an "'emotional horror story" and will likely devastate fans of the original Marvel comic books. The film is set to feature an impending battle between Chris Evans' Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain American and Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man and their respective team of Avengers.

Cap's team is opposed to the newly enacted U.S. Superhero Registration Act, designed to regulate superhero activity while Iron Man's team is for it. The legislative bill followed the devastating aftermath caused by superhero-related events including the Hulk's rampage in Las Vegas.

According to Birth Death Movies, the death of 'Captain America: Civil War' may see the death of certain main characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

In the original comic books, Cap then surrenders and is taken under custody. He is eventually shot to death by Crossbones and Sharon Carter outside a court house on the day of his summons. It remains unconfirmed whether the film's plot will follow the original comic books' storyline.

Director Joe Russo revealed new details regarding their upcoming Marvel film during the recent Q&A at the Wizard World Cleveland Comic Convention. He said, "We really did a radical reinterpretation of Captain America in Winter Soldier... We were twice as aggressive in tone and execution on Civil War."

Meanwhile, the latest promotional art have debuted ahead of the scheduled release date for May 6, 2016. According to Collider, it featured images of Cap and Iron Man engaged in battle as well as Elizabeth Olsen's powerful Scarlet Witch.
