Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update via CarHDRom: Installation Guide

CarHDRom custom ROM is now available to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge units with model number G925F. The ROM brings TouchWiz launcher support and more tweaks and enhancements.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F is now supported by CarHDRom custom ROM which brings almost the same visuals with the official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is deodexed and zipaligned which makes the device ready for manual updating without having to root it. It also includes a pre-installed super-user.

Before proceeding to the installation of CarHDRom to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, it is necessary to take note of the following reminders and preconditions first:

1.     Make sure that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has model number G925F. Using other variant may cause severe damage to phone. To know the model number of the phone, go to Settings > About device or About phone.

2.     Install TWRP Recovery here.

3.     Back up all necessary data here, including apps, SMS messages, contacts, call history, APN settings and more. Samsung KIES can also be used for backup.

4.     Download USB driver here.

Here's how to download and install Android 6.0.1 CarHDRom to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge:

1.     Down load Android 6.0.1 CarHDRom ROM here for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F on PC.

2.     Connect phone to PC using the USB cable.

3.     Copy then paste downloaded ROM to phone's memory or SD card.

4.     Switch off phone and plug it out from the PC.

5.     Go to Recovery Mode by press holding volume up, home and power buttons.

6.     Choose 'Wipe' to delete of data and 'Swipe to Factory Reset'.

7.     Go to main menu and choose 'Install'. Choose the copied ZIP file on the phone.

8.     Choose 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'.

9.     Wait for the installation to complete.

10.  When phone gets into any boot loops or other troubles, tap 'Wipe cache/dalvik' button.

11.  Choose 'Reboot System'.

To verify the update, to go Settings > About phone.
