Electronic Arts' idea of Battlefield 5 may be quite different as new rumors have circulated all over the web as of late. With the success of the fourth title officially slated, what will the latest expansion bring to the table, as per the leak which was witnessed online?

According to PC Gamer, it was very recent that Battlefield 5 received some interesting claims from some fans in which the possible plot of the fifth title will take place in World War I. The claim was further aggravated when fans of the series translated the description from the leak was seen.

As per Games Radar, a Swiss retailer site known as World of Games was said to have inadvertently leaked some information on Battlefield 5, specifically the theme in which it is to be set. The game description under the website wrote "Mehrspieler Taktik Shooter im 1. Weltkrieg" and is translated as multiplayer tactical shooter in World War I. More interestingly, the said expansion was even given a release date that marks October 26th of this year.

Making things more intriguing, Shack News delivered that Battlefield 5 could follow the approach of what the fourth installment did, as Battlefield 4 released around mid-October, specifically October 29, 2013 to evade the release date of competitor Call of Duty. As the Call of Duty title is bound to release by mid-November, the tactic of EA was rational and proves that there may be some possible truth to the claims seen online. It did not take long, however, for the post to be taken out completely, but many have already marked and acquired the particular information.

As mentioned above, Battlefield 5's release date is still not a certainty but if the rumors are affirmative, gamers can expect the title to surface by October 26th, 2016. Keep posted for further updates on the launching of the promised fifth installment of the Battlefield saga this year.
