On a rare occurrence, actress Amanda Bynes took to her social media account to post a photo of her new haircut and asked her fans to comment what they thought of the new look.

The 29-year-old Nickelodeon star showed off her new hairstyle, a shoulder-length cut with side-swept bangs, on her Twitter account last February 23rd. Below the photo, Bynes put a caption that read: "I got a haircut! What do you think?" The photo was shared to the actress' follower list of over 3 million people.

The photo shows the Dear Amanda clip star seating on the front seat of a vehicle as she looked pleased with how the hairstyle looks. The selfie captured half of her face, while the other half was hidden from view.

Comparing with the past hairstyles of the troubled actress, this is somewhat of a breath of fresh air. Daily Mail has posted several photos of the actress sporting different hairstyles and colors through the past two years. In that short amount of time, the actress has managed to dye her hair aqua blue, purple, brunette, and platinum blonde. Style News shares that a trip to the salon was not unexpected for the actress since she was seen with her hair roots returning to their natural color.

US Magazine also shared a photo of the actress in 2013 when she shaved her head and posted the photo on her Twitter account. The photo is captioned "I buzzed half my head like @cassie! No more old photos!" and "This is the new me! I love it!"

Bynes' hair selfie is the most recent photo she shared on her Twitter account since December last year. It seems like the actress is coping well ever since she left rehab in 2014. On occasions, the actress has even stepped out looking healthy and happy. In October last year, she was said to have returned to fashion school.
