Toy Story 4 is still in the making after the third installment hit theaters nearly six years ago. While major details are kept under the wraps, the film is set to feature a different take on the life of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Meanwhile, Tom Hanks has hinted some changes that might have been made in the development of the film.

The Toy Story franchise might have emotional story arcs in the past but this might change in the upcoming fourth film. According to Movie News Guide, John Lasseter confirmed that the beloved toys are all coming back in the upcoming Toy Story 4. However, it was reported that it will be a romantic comedy. Reports have it that they've incorporated a search and find operation for Bo Peep, probably to highlight her relationship with Woody.

It was notable that Bo Peep wasn't anywhere in Toy Story 3 and her absence was deemed due to a yard sale or that she was lost, as reported by Film Munch. The site also speculated that the movie will be rated PG as there will be less interaction with kids, indicating more freedom for the characters for an improved plot. Many are hoping that the new storyline be a jumpstart for more films in the future.

In related news, Tom Hanks revealed that his brother Jim Hanks will replace him in the movie, as reported by Korea Portal. In an interview, Hanks was asked if he does Woody's voice and he responded with "No, that's my brother Jim."  Jim Hanks has reportedly lent his voice in other video and games of the franchise whenever Tom Hanks is busy. Whethere or not he will return to voice the iconic cowboy is yet to be determined.

Toy Story 4 is the upcoming fourth installment of the computer-animated adventure franchise that started in 1995. The franchise has finished its trilogy in 2010 but John Lasseter has confirmed that the fourth is coming with a new tale. Tim Allen is set to return as Buzz, Joan Cusack as Jessie, Bonnie Hunt as Dollie and Annie Potts as Bo Peep. Toy Story 4 will hit theaters on June 15, 2018.
