After getting a pretty decent revenue and positive reviews from critics, "Creed 2" is finally in the works with Michael B. Jordan slated to reprise his role as Adonis. While the sequel could also feature the lead character's father, Apollo Creed, it is also possible not to see Sylvester Stallone in the next movie as his commitment to return is reportedly vague.

Adonis Creed have won the hearts of many in 2015's "Creed" and many knows a sequel is coming, but questions rise on what or who they will add in the next installment. Vibe has it that the addition of Apollo Creed in the sequel is in talks right now and Carl Weathers has, in fact, spoke about it.

According to the site, Weathers said he does not oppose on portraying the role once again. The film is said to follow the steps of "The Godfather II" and have the nature of presenting a past and present story. Weathers added "If I could get a role as cool at this point as Rocky's was, then, yeah, in a heartbeat I'd be back in."

In other news, Movie Web detailed that though MGM has already announced plans to release "Creed 2" in 2017, but it is still not sure if Sylvester Stallone will join the returning cast. This is because the actor is reportedly quite hesitant on continuing the role. Stallone said that he's having mixed feelings on jumping aboard as Rocky Balboa.

He said "I feel like Rocky, at the end of this movie on the steps, with the help of a young man, and he looks out and says, 'From here, you can see your whole life' - it sort of summarizes the whole thing. I don't know how much further you can push Rocky."

However, Movie News Guide thinks different and wrote that Stallone will not deny the opportunity to star again in the sequel. Also, it is notable that "Creed" has given Stallone another chance in winning an award as he's nominated in the Academy Award for Best Supporting actor. Stallone is also aware of the legacy that he'll be leaving with the movie.

"Creed 2" is the upcoming sports drama film sequel to the very successful 2015 film of the same name. The first installment was directed by Ryan Coogler, but his involvement in the second remains unknown. "Creed 2" hasn't released an official announcement yet on the cast but Michael B. Jordan will definitely be coming back.
