Apple Releases iOS 9.3 Public Beta 3; Update Brings Night Shift, Touch ID Notes and More

Apple Inc. has started seeding the iOS 9.3 public beta 3 for testers after releasing the beta for the developers. The iOS update is expected to bring enhancements and new features such as Night Shift, Touch ID Notes and more.

According to Mac Rumors, the beta testers who have signed up for Apple's beta testing program will obtain the third iOS 9.3 firmware upgrade through over-the-air. This will happen after they have installed the proper certificate on their iOS device. Furthermore, those who want to become a part of Apple's beta testing program can still sign up to participate through the beta testing website. This will give the owners of the iOS devices access to both iOS and OS X betas.

Ecumenical News cited some of the change logs that will be experienced and noticed upon updating to iOS 9.3 beta. One of the new features gives the ability to those who are under Verizon carrier to make calls over Wi-Fi when the main cellular connection is suffering from low signal levels. This particular feature will reach the subscribers of Verizon when the 9.3 update is finally rolled out to T-Mobile and AT&T customers.

Another new feature that has been noticed in the third iOS 9.3 beta includes icons appearing in landscape mode when users are going through the Night Shift Explainer in the control center.

Ever since users and developers tried the iOS 9.3 beta, many tech enthusiasts praised the features included. Many has agreed that with the first beta, the load times for apps has been abridged along with the news apps obtaining a number of enhancements which has resulted in the articles being refreshed faster.

During the arrival of the first beta for iOS 9.3, most of the attention concentrated on the Night Shift feature. With this feature, the color of the screen changes in the night time to ensure that people can get to sleep faster after using their iPhone or tablet.

Other new features included in the beta include the 3D touch shortcuts and Notes that could be provided with security by using the Touch ID feature on the iPhone. The second beta was also important as it has introduced a toggle in the control center which would be used when turning on Night Shift.

Additionally, 9to5Mac stated that the official iOS 9.3 is expected to arrive next month carrying the above mentioned features. The iOS firmware upgrade is also believed to carry the new 3D Touch shortcuts on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, enhancements to the Health and Activity apps, iCloud for iBooks PDF syncing, and much more.

With the aforementioned new features and enhancements, iOS device users will be very happy to obtain the update. It is just a matter of time for the official iOS 9.3 to land on Apple devices as its roll out is already expected to commence on March.
