‘Halo Wars 2’ Update: Title Comes at Xbox Event; Game Dev Confirms Game at the Final Testing

Microsoft recently announced the games that make it to Xbox One Backward Compatibility Program and Halo Wars 2 is in the list. Game developer also confirms the game is at the final testing and will be release this 2016.

According to Cross Map, since the free download for The Witcher 2 has come to an end, Microsoft includes a new Xbox One Backward Compatibility release - Halo Wars. The game is said to be in the final testing. But some fans claimed they have seen Halo Wars in the Xbox One Marketplace which take up 6.34 GB of memory.

Express UK wrote an update mentioning Halo Wars 2 as one of the more in demand games. Halo Wars has been spotted on the Xbox One Marketplace like other game titles supposedly part of the Xbox Event.

Halo Wars 2 will embrace an all-new Halo story and is set to follow the traditions of original Halo Wars series. The site quoted the Creative Assembly saying "We are absolutely using Halo Wars as a starting point. This isn't going to be a Total War: Halo kind of game - this is Halo Wars taken to the next stage."

Creative Assembly continued saying that they value Halo Wars as they work closely with 343 Industries they are learning about the universe of the game.  

Express added that Microsoft has 150 games in the list for Xbox One Backward Compatibility Program which includes Black Ops 2, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 3, World at War, Mass Effect 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

Halo Wars 2 is the sequel to the game that redefined real-time strategy on consoles. The game is happening in fall of 2016 for Xbox One and Windows 10.

Halo Wars 2 is developed by Creative Assembly, a SEGA company and the creators of the popular Total War series, in partnership with 343 Industries.
