Samsung is finally bound for the release of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to Galaxy E7 as the device has already been update to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Although there has not been official announcement for the device's upgrade yet, it is now just reportedly waiting for approval.

Samsung Galaxy E7 phones will be receiving anytime in March or April 2016 the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update over the air (OTA). According to previous reports, Galaxy E7 with model number SM - E700H will be used for the beta test of the software.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is also coming to other units with model number SM - E7000, SM - E7009, SM - E700F, SM - E700F/DS, SM - E700H/DD, SM - E700H/DS, SM - E700M, SM - E700M and SM - E700M/DS. All of these versions are now running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Samsung Galaxy E7 is a mid-range smartphone released in February 2015. The device has a 5.5-inch display made of Super AMOLED screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It has a 13 MP main camera, 5 MP front camera, 2 GB of RAM and non-removable 2,950 mAh battery.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow build will bring in improvements in Android Run Time, flex storage, app menu, app search bar and app standby, among many others.

Marshmallow made the vertical list of apps in the app drawer quicker to respond. Meanwhile, Google's Now Launcher will display four suggested icons users might want to use. These four app icons are the top suggestions of Google based on time of day, location and previous usage. Its downside this is that it will make home screen redundant since favorite apps are already mounted here.

However, this feature is preinstalled to Nexus devices only which means other Android phone users will have to download it.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is also confirmed rolling out to Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy S5, among others.
