Samsung is reported brewing another surprise for Android 6.0 Marshmallow as it planned to release the official update to Galaxy Tab S2 devices. The over-the-air (OTA) upgrade is set for an early 2016 release. Will Samsung let out Android 6.0 to three Galaxy Tab S2 models by the end of this month?

Samsung, while throwing a lot of surprises about its plans for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, is now reportedly ready to roll out the latest Android build to both 8.-inch and 9.7-inch versions of Galaxy Tab S2. These phones have model number SM-T715 (LTE), SM-T712 (3G), SM-T710 (Wi-Fi), SM - T800 (Wi-Fi), SM - T805 (LTE), SM - T805M (LTE), SM - T805W (LTE), SM - T807T (T-Mobile), SM - T805C, SM - T805Y, SM - T805S, SM - T805L and SM - T807P.

While all of these phones have just been updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, recent reports pointed out that they might be receiving Marshmallow before March 2016. Although Samsung has been silent about these reports, the imminent rollout is made evident by a series of tests Samsung has initiated in the past weeks.

In the mobile carrier zone in the United States, T-Mobile was the first to detail Marshmallow plans for its models through a track list. T-Mobile's announcement spurred other telecom companies like Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, US Cellular, Bell, and Vodafone to give a hint of its plans for the device. Among these carriers, Sprint leads the pack in software upgrades.

Galaxy Tab S2 phones are currently under the testing phase, wherein the device will go through the carrier's certification process to make sure users get the best quality software. Release shall commence once testing is deemed is approved.

Currently, Samsung has already released Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow beta to Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S5 units.
