Motorola is scheduled to release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Moto Maxx (2014) and Moto Turbo (2014) phones in the coming weeks. The company kept a vow to provide a promising update that will solve software issues that have drawn quite a surge of flak from device owners.

Moto Maxx (2014) and Moto Turbo (2014) phones are bound for a promising Android 6.0 Marshmallow update as Motorola vowed to make up following consumer complaints on software issues. According to previous reports, the company is set to release the update by March 2016.

Despite Lenovo's rebranding plans for Motorola, the company made sure that internal operations will not be hampered. Instead, Lenovo find it the best way to give back to its Motorola patrons by providing Marshmallow updates on time.

Moto Maxx (2014) and Moto Turbo (2014) were first announced heading to Android 6.0 Marshmallow update following a kickstart of Moto X Pure Edition (2015) and Moto G (2014) in other parts of the world. The smartphone was first reported to receive the upgrade by the first quarter of the year and it seemed now March is the best time for it.

As of the moment, Moto Maxx (2014) and Moto Turbo (2014) now have pending partner support. This stage sees the formation of mutual agreement between the mobile phone manufacturer and the partner mobile networks. Since the soak test had been conducted to other devices already, release of the new build is expected not to take that long.

Aside from these devices, other mid-ranges confirmed for the update are Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Turbo. Meanwhile, Marshmallow is currently rolling out to Moto 360 phones.

Android 6.0 will hit devices along with Doze, app permissions, app inks, custom Chrome tabs, new app drawer, more comprehensive Android Pay and a lot more. The upgrade will also be bringing in a complete set of features of the Marshmallow launcher, plus the ones brought by the first update like the updated emojis.
