Five people were shot, including one fatally during the annual Crab Festival in Williston, Florida, as reported by UPI. Only, the crab festival is actually a misnomer. The "Crab Fest" is actually a series of "Hip Hop" style street parties where violence had been reported in the past, a moniker to alert authorities.

The Crab Festival is unsanctioned without any individuals or organizations taking responsibility for hosting the event. It is largely advertised underground, through social media, the Sheriff's Office said.

"A large contigent of Levy County Deputies was working the Festival Emergency Medical personnel responded immediately on foot and in the county Department of Public Safety had pre-staged ambulances and a medical helicopter in the area for the festival."

Barney Barry, a 36-year-old, was identifed as the the fatality.

The police have since arrested Devonte Tremaine Ocasi, 19, in connection with the shootings. Ocasi was initially charged with attempted first-degree murder, discharge of firearm with injury, aggravated of assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm. He's currently being held on a $1.5 million bond. An upgrade to a murder charge is ikely, the Examiner reported.

Police are still investigating the possibility of a second shooter involved in the incident. No motive for the shooting has been released.
