Two seventh-grade girls in New Jersey girls have been suspended from classes, and may face criminal charges for allegedly threatening to kill about a dozen of their classmates in a YouTube Video, as reported by CBS New York.

The two girls, who have yet been identified several students and faculty who they "want to kill" in the 21-minute clip. One of the girls also allegedly read out the listed to a group of classmates in school, news reports said.

"My daughter called me from the [school] bathroom," Jackie Quinones, a parent of one of the students allegedly threatened with murder, said. "She was so scared she was crying."

The case is now under investigation by the local police, the New York Daily News reported.

"It's serious enough for us to have this investigated, especially because of the current climate we're in," said Mayor Jeffrey Jones said on Thursday. "Let's hope that it was just frustrations and emotions and they didn't mean anything, but we can't just sit back and hope."

It is unclear if the the two seventh-graders meant to carry out their threats, as Mayor Jones indeicated that student were likely never at real danger.

Parents of students who were named in the hit-list said that the two girls are now "receiving medical evaluation," the mayor said.
