Egyptian Ambassador in Rome has been summoned to express concerns following the suspicious death of an Italian man in Cairo as reported by The Jerusalem Post. The ministry's director general, Michele Valensise have released a statement on the actions of Italy after the body of 28-year old, Giulio Regeni, was found on Wednesday. Valensise urgently summoned the Egyptian Ambassador, Amr Mostafa Kamal Helmy to seek information and to push him into making a join investigation.

The Wall Street Journal details the incident that happened in Cairo. Giulio Regeni, who is a graduate student of Britain's Cambridge University, was found dead after disappearing in Cairo on January 25, 2016.  The body was discovered by Egyptian authorities. Regeni's body was found to have been ditched on the highway connecting Cairo and the coastal city of Alexandria. Bruises were notified on the body but there was not a stab or bullet wounds.

Moreover, Al Jazeera indicated that the Italian student may be a subject to torture as Egyptian officials said. Along with bruises and being half naked on the road side, Regeni's body was evident of cigarette burns and other signs of torture as senior Egyptian prosecutor indicated. The body has been taken to Cairo morgue for further examinations. Reports said that Human Rights group suspected police brutality as they have a record but the Egypt denied that possibility. Further, Armed groups can be seen to have done this since President Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood was toppled and now are killing police, soldiers and Westerners.

Egyptian Ambassador has been summoned immediately by the Italy's Foreign Ministry following the killing and possible torture of a doctoral Italian student in Cairo. The report indicated that there have been evidences of torture to the body before being ditch on a highway last Wednesday. The Egyptian ambassador assured that they are in full cooperation to find who's responsible for this criminality.
