According to released statements, Ryan Gosling seems to be committed on tackling his latest role: a family man to Eva Mendes and daughter, Esmeralda.

While everyone is expecting Ryan Gosling to be a part of this year's Academy Awards, the A-list actor is happy to be busy on other things. Gosling's role in the movie "The Big Short" was snubbed by the Academy Awards, but the actor does not feel that he was cheated on. According to reports, Gosling feels that he is in a stage of his life where he needed to be most.

While many are still stammering about Gosling's Oscar snub, the actor says that his gaze is set on keeping his woman and his family intact. In a published interview, Gosling expresses how proud and lucky he is to have a family of his own, especially with a woman that he sees as "perfect".

"My biggest investment is my family. I'm with the person I'm supposed to be with - I'm not looking for anything else beyond Eva - and I feel very lucky that we have a beautiful, healthy daughter, who is an angel. That's investment enough for me," said the 35-year-old actor, in a post by Indian Express.

The actor added that while some find fatherhood hard, he is perfectly fine with his current responsibility.

"Being a dad isn't rocket science - I can handle it," said Gosling, in an interview posted by Movie News Guide.

While being content and confident with his skills as a father, Gosling still thinks that Mendes' opinion on him is truly what matters.

"You'd have to ask my girlfriend really - all I can say is that it's important for me to be there for my daughter and that I want to be there too, because it's so fun," gushes Gosling.
