‘The Last of Us 2’ Update: Trademark Title, Release Date, Plot Details Revealed

New reports claimed that the much-anticipated game The Last of Us 2 has now a trademark title. The game that revolves around Ellie is now expected to be released soon.  

While Naughty Dog has not confirmed anything and fans still rely on rumors, Segment Next reported that the sequel to The Last of Us might happen sooner than expected. Several reports suggest that game developer is now working on the game. Although no exact date yet, Sony Entertainment posted a trademark title Days Gone. What spotted online fueled speculations related to The Last of Us 2. 

Creative Director Neil Druckmann shared that he and Bruce Straley are brainstorming ideas for 'The Last of Us 2' with new characters, the site added.

Aside from the new characters, the development team is planning the plot line for The Last of Us 2, wrote Parent Herald. Although The Last of Us 2 is the least priority of Naughty Dog, finally they revealed information fans can hold on to. Naughty Dog Studios has been busy these days for Uncharted 4 and rumors of "The Last of Us 2" being released this 2017.

Health Youth Magazine said following the new trademark titled Days Gone filed by Sony Entertainment, reports pointed to the released trademark as the title of The Last of Us 2.

The site continued that Days Gone refers to the occurrence in the first game where Joel died and Ellie is left on her own. In the last scene of The Last of Us, Joel lied about the Fireflies and what happened to the Lab but died before he could tell her the truth. After that heart breaking scene, Ellie would go on a soul searching journey to find out what really happened with the fire flies. The Last of Us 2 is likely to focus on Ellie as she copes with what she has been through. 

Fans are staying tuned for additional details from Naughty Dog and Sony Entertainment on the exact debut date of The Last of Us 2.
