Microsoft has just updated its Surface line of products. Their high-end Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4 models are now powered with an Intel Core i7 and comes with 1TB storage.

Gadgets 360 reports that the high-end Surface Book now comes with 1TB of SSD, 16GB of RAM, a dedicated GPU and is powered by a 6th generation Intel Core i7 CPU.  The Surface Pro 4 model has exactly the same hardware specs except that it comes with a discrete GPU.  

According to ZDNET, the new models are available in the United States and Canada. The high-end Surface Book is sold exlcusively online via Microsoft Stores and other select resellers while the Surface Pro 4 is available on brick-and-mortar Mircosoft Stores as well as select third-party resellers.

The 1TB Surface Book  and Surface Pro 4 will retail at US$ 3,199 and US$ 2,699 respectively.

Surface lovers the United Kingdom may also be able to get their hands on the Surface models soon. Express UK has reported that both models are available for pre-order earlier this month.  While the first batch of Surface Book pre-orders will ship by February 18 of this year, there has been no official word on shipping dates for the Surface Pro 4.

Microsoft is also releasing a new gold version of the Surface Pen. This pen is the one shipped with the Surface Pro 4, but it also comes with the Surface Pen Tip Kit.  The kit can further customise a user's note-taking and drawing experience and has a retail price of US$60.

Aside from the US, UK and Canada the Surface Pen is available in European countries such as Denmark, Finland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Spain.

Launched in October, both the Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4 have gotten good feedback from users. While Microsoft has yet to release any official data, it has been predicted that the 1TB RAM and Intel Core i7 upgrades will further boost the product line's reputation.
